I'm Jan,

a director with roots in skate videos and a background behind the camera. These days, I direct commercials, social content and documentaries, with the occasional detour into AI.

I like films with character, people who feel real and a little room for the unexpected. My background as a DP shapes how I see things. Skateboarding taught me to improvise when things don’t go to plan. My studies in psychology help me understand what makes people tick – both in front of the camera and behind it.

That shapes how I work with a cast and crew: listening closely, getting involved and making room for good ideas, wherever they might come from. If that sounds like your kind of partnership, let’s connect.
